Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Docs Estimator Google Workspace add-on and the Docs Estimator website at subaddons.com/docsestimator (together, the "Service"). Docs Estimator is a SubAddons product.

By installing the add-on, starting a trial, creating or using a Docs Estimator account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not install or use the Service.

2. The Service

Docs Estimator is a Google Docs add-on that helps users create estimates and proposals from a Google Docs sidebar. Features include proposal and scope setup, client records, line items, pricing calculations, taxes, discounts, additional charges, currency formatting, proposal styles, business branding, reusable templates, CSV import/export, and insertion of the resulting proposal into a Google Doc.

The Service relies on Google Workspace and Google Apps Script. Google may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue platform functionality outside our control.

3. Eligibility and account use

You must have a Google Account capable of using Google Docs and the Google Workspace functionality required by the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google Account and for all activity performed through your authorized account.

You must provide accurate information when creating or managing an account or subscription and must not use another person's account or authorization credentials without permission.

4. Free trial

Eligible new users receive one 30-day free trial. A payment method is not required to begin the trial. Trial eligibility is determined by the Docs Estimator account and entitlement system.

When the trial ends, continued access to subscription-protected features requires an active paid subscription. A trial does not automatically become a paid subscription unless you choose a paid plan and complete checkout.

5. Subscriptions, pricing, and billing

Docs Estimator currently offers:

• Monthly: US$4.99 per month.
• Yearly: US$44.91 per year.

Prices may be changed in the future. The price applicable to a new purchase or renewal will be presented through the applicable checkout or subscription-management flow, subject to applicable law.

Subscriptions are processed through Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, applicable taxes, receipts, and payment-card information. Docs Estimator does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Subscription renewal

Paid subscriptions renew according to the billing interval selected during checkout unless you cancel before the next renewal. Subscription access is controlled by the account and billing entitlement reported by the billing service.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription using the subscription-management link provided by Paddle or by contacting us for assistance. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally leaves paid access available through the end of the current paid billing period, subject to the applicable billing terms.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled in accordance with applicable law and Paddle's merchant-of-record processes. If you believe a charge was made in error or you need help with a billing issue, contact subaddons@gmail.com and provide the relevant subscription or receipt information.

6. Your content and proposal information

You retain responsibility for the information you enter into Docs Estimator and the documents you create with it, including client names, contact information, descriptions, quantities, rates, discounts, taxes, terms, and other proposal information.

The proposal workspace is designed to store drafts, clients, templates, and related working information locally in your browser. Some business settings may be synchronized with the Docs Estimator account service to support the account and subscription experience, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for confirming that you have the right to use any client information, company information, logos, images, or other content that you enter or upload.

7. Generated documents and accuracy

Docs Estimator generates proposal content based on the information and settings you provide. You are responsible for reviewing the generated Google Doc before sending, publishing, signing, or relying on it.

We do not guarantee that a calculated estimate, tax amount, discount, rounding result, or commercial term is appropriate for your particular business, jurisdiction, contract, or tax situation.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activity.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, probe, or compromise the Service or its supporting infrastructure.
• Attempt to bypass subscription or entitlement controls.
• Use another person's Google authorization or account without permission.
• Upload or use content that you do not have the legal right to use.
• Reverse-engineer or modify the Service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Resell or redistribute paid access without our written authorization.

9. Google services and third-party services

Docs Estimator operates with Google Workspace services, including Google Docs and Apps Script. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

Payments and subscriptions are handled through Paddle. Other infrastructure providers may support hosting, account storage, and service operation. Their services are subject to their respective terms and policies.

10. Intellectual property

The Docs Estimator software, website, user interface, product name, branding, documentation, and other materials provided by us are owned by Docs Estimator/SubAddons or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of our software, trademarks, or branding to you. You retain ownership of content that you independently provide, subject to any rights required for us to operate the Service.

11. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Docs Estimator available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Service availability can be affected by Google Workspace, browser, network, hosting, payment, or other third-party services.

We may add, remove, modify, or limit features as the product develops. We may also temporarily suspend functionality when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or operational reasons.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, attempt to bypass subscription controls, engage in abusive or unlawful activity, or create a security or operational risk.

If we discontinue the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice where practical. Termination does not remove obligations that by their nature should survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual-property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and applicable legal obligations.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Docs Estimator is a productivity and proposal-generation tool. It is not legal, accounting, tax, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for checking the commercial and legal suitability of any proposal before using it with a client.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Docs Estimator/SubAddons will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Service, pricing, legal requirements, or operating model changes. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice for material changes.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the legal entity providing Docs Estimator, except to the extent mandatory consumer-protection or other applicable laws require otherwise. Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under mandatory laws that apply to you.
